Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into several files?

Add the PDF and choose an interval or custom ranges. Check the output cards, then run Split and download the results.

Does selecting an output change its page range?

No. Selecting a card shows that output. Use the range fields to change which source pages it includes.

Does the download include only the selected output?

The split creates all defined outputs. The selected card controls which output you are inspecting.

Can I save only a few pages without defining several outputs?

Use Extract for a selection of pages. Split is useful when you want separate files.

Technical details

Page boundaries

Splitting produces PDFs from whole pages. Splitting by target size does not compress page content, and an individual page may exceed the target.
