Start with your documents and understand what gets saved. Choose a PDF tool in the navigation for its own instructions and output details.

Start with your documents

  1. Open the PDF tool you need and choose Select files. You can add more files with Add. A tool-specific entrance opens the same workspace in that tool.

  2. Choose a tool in the left list. In a narrow window, use the Tool selector. PDF editor contains Edit text, Annotate, Watermark, Page numbers and Crop.

  3. Use the page thumbnails to move through the document. Fit page, zoom, Pan and Preview change your view. They do not change the saved page size.

  4. Open Docs to read the chapter for the current tool in another tab. Keep the editor tab open while you work.

Page ranges such as 1-3, 7 refer to the numbered pages in the current workspace unless a control explicitly names an input PDF. Custom Split instead uses the selected input file and its local page numbers.

Files and edits stay in the current tab. Clear all removes the workspace after confirmation. Reloading or leaving the page loses work that has not been downloaded. Your original files on disk are not overwritten.

Move between pages and zoom

Page navigation and zoom change what you see in the editor. They do not change the dimensions of the saved PDF.

  1. Use the page thumbnails or the next-page arrow to inspect another page.

  2. Use the zoom buttons to inspect small text. Fit page brings the complete page back into view.

  3. Use Pan to move around a zoomed page. Check the current page before editing it.

Choose a PDF task

Each task offers the settings needed for that job. Check the selected task before running its main action.

  1. Use the PDF tool list to choose a task, or use the Tool selector in a narrow workspace.

  2. Read the changed settings and main action label.

  3. Open the task-specific guide when you need a detailed explanation of those choices.

Understand what gets saved

  1. Read the main action before running it. Arrange and Extract create one PDF. Merge joins its included pages. Split creates the output files you defined. Most other PDF operations keep separate source documents.

  2. In the PDF editor tabs, combine changes before choosing Download PDF or Download PDFs. For example, add a watermark, crop the pages and add annotations in the same workspace.

  3. When a result view appears, check its preview and file list before Download. Several outputs are packaged in a ZIP. Back to editing returns to the workspace. A continuation tool uses the current result according to the selected action.

  4. If leaving a tool prompts you about edits, choose Save and continue, Discard and continue or Keep editing. A failed save keeps you in the current tool. Resolve it before continuing.

A page selection can mean either the pages to change or the pages to export. For example, Pages to resize changes only those pages but saves the complete documents. Extract saves only its selected pages. The individual tool guides state this distinction.

Use Undo and Redo for workspace edits. Downloaded files are independent copies. Undoing in the editor does not alter an earlier download. Review warnings and excluded files before relying on a batch result.

When a result needs attention

  1. If a page preview fails, use Try again when offered. Do not interpret a missing preview as a successfully processed page.

  2. If an operation reports an unsupported file or conversion failure, inspect the named input. Keep the original and try a compatible source format or a smaller batch.

  3. When a download contains several files, open the ZIP and verify filenames, page counts and the intended edits. Compare at least one changed and one unchanged page.

  4. If a mode change reports a save failure, choose Keep editing and download from the current tool before trying a different operation.

Changing the viewer zoom does not fix the exported content. For unexpected font, crop, recognition or conversion results, inspect the actual downloaded file in a separate reader. Avoid reloading the working tab until you have saved everything you need.
