How to use it

  1. Choose Size, such as A5 or Letter. Custom accepts width and height in mm, in or pt. Match first uses the first page as the size reference.

  2. Choose Scale to fit to fit the page content into the new paper size, or Keep size to retain its existing scale.

  3. Choose the target Orientation, then select Pages to resize. An empty selection applies to all pages.

  4. Check the displayed dimensions and preview, run Resize pages and download the results.

Choose the new paper size

Paper size sets the outside dimensions of a PDF page.

  1. Choose A5 for a smaller standard page, or Letter for US letter paper.

  2. Read the size summary and inspect the preview.

  3. Choose Match first when the remaining pages should use the dimensions of the first page.

  2. Choose the unit before entering Width and Height.

  3. Check the ratio lock. Unlock it if you need to set each dimension independently.

Changing the page size and scaling its contents are separate choices.

  2. Choose an orientation and inspect the edges for content that no longer fits.

  3. Enter 1, 3 in Pages to resize for selected pages. Leave it empty for all pages.

Download and check the result

The result view shows the created output. Downloading a file and checking its contents are separate steps.

  1. Read the output name, count and size in the result view. If processing reported a problem, return to the settings and correct it before continuing.

  2. Choose Download and keep the new file separate from your original. If several outputs are packaged together, open the archive to find them.

  3. Open the downloaded result in a suitable viewer. Check the pages and content affected by this task. Keep your original until you are satisfied.

Output and limits

The download includes complete source documents. For example, with four PDFs loaded and workspace pages 6-7 selected, all four PDFs are saved, while only pages 6-7 receive the new paper size.

Orientation describes the destination paper. It is different from Arrange’s rotation of a page. Keep size can leave content outside a smaller page. Check the preview before saving. Fit page beneath the viewer is only a viewing command.
