Understand what the browser remembers
Saved browser data can include preferences and tool-specific saved content. A backup is not automatically a copy of every file you have ever processed.
Open Settings and choose Data.
Read the available data categories and export choices.
Keep a separate copy of documents and downloaded results that you need.
Export the data you need
Choose an export scope according to what you want to keep or move.
Use Everything for the full offered backup, or a narrower export such as favorites or presets when that is your goal.
Read the backup review before downloading. Check which categories are included.
Download the backup and keep it somewhere you can find again. Treat saved content in it as private.
Restore from a backup
Import adds saved content and restores preferences. Existing favorites are kept. Conflicting saved document or preset variants are retained rather than silently discarded. Back up the current state before restoring.
Export your current data first if you want a way back.
Select a .mlbackup or supported legacy .json file in the import area.
Read the restore confirmation. Cancel if you are unsure. There is no per-item conflict chooser in this dialog.
Confirm Restore when you intend to apply the backup. Wait for the page to reload, then inspect restored preferences and saved items.
Review privacy preferences
Privacy preferences are separate from notification preferences.
Open Data in Settings.
Choose Privacy settings.
Read the available consent choices and save the preference you intend to use.
Clear saved browser data
Clearing data can remove preferences and saved tool data. Make a backup first if you need them.
Export the data you want to keep.
Choose Clear data and read the confirmation.
Only enter the requested confirmation word when you intend to erase the data. Choose Cancel to keep it.
