How to use it

  1. Choose Convert to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Images or Text.

  2. Check the settings for that format. Images offers JPG, PNG and WebP. Text produces a text file.

  3. Wait for conversion and inspect any available preview or warning for each input.

  4. Download the results and open them in the intended application.

Choose an editable Office output

Word, PowerPoint and Excel serve different editing tasks. Conversion can change layout.

  1. Choose Word for a document, PowerPoint for slides or Excel for table work.

  2. Read the file status before converting. Follow an offered OCR or Split action if the source needs preparation.

  3. Open the output in its intended app and check text, tables, images and page order. A successful conversion is not proof of identical layout.

Render PDF pages as images

Pages draws each page as an image. Resolution and quality affect the output.

  1. Choose Images, then keep Pages as the source.

  2. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP where offered. Quality applies to JPG and WebP.

  3. Choose Resolution and a page range. Higher resolution produces larger images.

Extract the pictures stored in the PDF

Embedded extracts stored pictures rather than rendering complete pages.

  1. Choose Images.

  2. Choose Embedded as the source. Format, quality and resolution no longer apply to this extraction.

  3. Check the outputs. A PDF can contain many small images, repeated images or no embedded pictures.

Extract readable text

Text output contains words rather than the original page design.

  1. Choose Text and enter the required page range.

  2. Enable Page breaks if separate page-break characters are useful in the receiving app.

  3. Inspect the text preview. If the PDF is a scan with no text layer, run OCR first and check its recognition.

Download and check the result

The result view shows the created output. Downloading a file and checking its contents are separate steps.

  1. Read the output name, count and size in the result view. If processing reported a problem, return to the settings and correct it before continuing.

  2. Choose Download and keep the new file separate from your original. If several outputs are packaged together, open the archive to find them.

  3. Open the downloaded result in a suitable viewer. Check the pages and content affected by this task. Keep your original until you are satisfied.

Output and limits

From PDF is marked Beta. Word, PowerPoint and Excel reconstruct a document from PDF content, so layout and editability depend on the input. Image output renders PDF pages as image files. It does not extract the original embedded image files.

A scan may need OCR before useful text can be extracted. Several source documents remain separate outputs. Page-image exports can create multiple files per PDF. Check the ZIP contents and the converted files, not only the browser preview.

Word, PowerPoint and Excel conversion accepts up to 150 pages per PDF. Longer inputs must be split before conversion.
