How to use it

1. 01

   Choose Crop in PDF editor. Drag the crop frame or enter Top, Right, Bottom and Left margins in mm or pt.

   Enable Equal margins when all four sides should use the same margin. Auto crop estimates the content bounds. Inspect the result.

3. 03

   Under Apply to, choose All pages, This page or Range. Use Reset crop to remove the current crop settings.

4. 04

   Check the preview and download, or continue to another editor tab.

Set crop margins

Cropping changes the visible page boundary. It does not securely erase hidden content.

   Choose the unit used by the margin values.

2. 02

   Turn off Equal margins if each edge needs a different crop.

3. 03

   Enter a small Top margin and inspect the preview before changing the other edges.

Try automatic cropping and reset

Auto crop finds a suggested boundary. Always review it yourself.

   Choose Auto crop.

   Inspect small captions, page numbers and signatures near the edges.

3. 03

   Choose Reset crop if the suggestion cuts off anything you need, then set margins manually.

Apply the crop to selected pages

Pages with different layouts may need different margins.

1. 01

   Choose This page when only the current page needs trimming.

2. 02

   Choose Range and enter the required page numbers for a selection.

3. 03

   Use All pages only after checking that the same crop is suitable throughout the document.

Download and check the result

The result view shows the created output. Downloading a file and checking its contents are separate steps.

1. 01

   Read the output name, count and size in the result view. If processing reported a problem, return to the settings and correct it before continuing.

2. 02

   Choose Download and keep the new file separate from your original. If several outputs are packaged together, open the archive to find them.

3. 03

   Open the downloaded result in a suitable viewer. Check the pages and content affected by this task. Keep your original until you are satisfied.

Output and limits

Crop changes the visible page area and retains untargeted pages in each document. It does not securely delete hidden material. Use Redact when information must be removed from the file. Check every page when applying one margin to mixed page sizes.
