How to use it
Choose a layout under Divide into, or choose Custom and set Columns and Rows.
If both dimensions contain several tiles, choose Page order: Across, then down or Down, then across.
Under Apply to, choose all pages, the current page or a range. Inspect the cut lines and output preview.
Run Divide pages and download the results.
Divide a large page into smaller pages
Dividing cuts the page into parts. It does not shrink the contents to fit a smaller sheet.
Choose a preset, or choose Custom.
Set Columns to 2 and Rows to 1 to split a page into left and right halves.
Inspect the dividing lines and make sure they do not cut through information you need together.
Choose the order and affected pages
The order controls how the cut pieces appear in the output.
Choose Across, then down to read each row of pieces first.
Choose Down, then across to read each column first.
Use Apply to for all pages, the current page or a page selection. Cropped content is not permanent redaction.
Download and check the result
The result view shows the created output. Downloading a file and checking its contents are separate steps.
Read the output name, count and size in the result view. If processing reported a problem, return to the settings and correct it before continuing.
Choose Download and keep the new file separate from your original. If several outputs are packaged together, open the archive to find them.
Open the downloaded result in a suitable viewer. Check the pages and content affected by this task. Keep your original until you are satisfied.
Output and limits
Tile dimensions come from each actual source page, including its orientation. The operation is not restricted to A4. Each targeted page becomes several smaller PDF pages. Untargeted pages remain in their document. Separate source files stay separate.
Division limits the visible area of each tile. It is not secure redaction of content outside that area. Use Redact to remove sensitive content.
