How to use it
In PDF editor, choose Edit text and open the page you need.
Click an editable text line and replace its text. Confirm with Enter or click outside the field. Escape cancels the current field edit.
Check the Edited list. Use a line’s restore action to remove that edit, or use Undo.
Continue to another editor tab if needed, then download the PDF.
Find a line that can be edited
Edit text works with editable text in the PDF. A photographed page may need a different workflow.
Wait for the text lines to be recognized by the editor.
Choose an editable line in the page or line list.
Read any unavailable-line explanation. OCR creates searchable text, but does not guarantee every visible line becomes editable here.
Replace text and inspect the result
Longer replacement text can change how a line fits.
Select the line you want to correct.
Replace it with the new wording.
Check the whole line, neighbouring text and font appearance. Save only after checking the edited-lines list.
Download and check the result
The result view shows the created output. Downloading a file and checking its contents are separate steps.
Read the output name, count and size in the result view. If processing reported a problem, return to the settings and correct it before continuing.
Choose Download and keep the new file separate from your original. If several outputs are packaged together, open the archive to find them.
Open the downloaded result in a suitable viewer. Check the pages and content affected by this task. Keep your original until you are satisfied.
Output and limits
Editing replaces a line. It is not a word processor that reflows the whole document. A replacement may use a similar available typeface. Check line width, characters and the saved appearance.
Scanned pages can be recognized in place. Recognition is fallible. Replacement on a scan requires a sufficiently uniform background. Complex backgrounds or unsupported lines may be refused. Add text with Annotate when you need a new text object rather than a replacement.
